Jelan has worked with light energy for over 25 years, naturally channeling Divine insight through everyday conversations. In 2005, she learned the healing art of Reiki and has incorporated Reiki into every area of her life. The healing properties of Reiki gave her courage, strength and wisdom as she began her journey as a single mother in 2007 with three children. She began teaching Reiki in 2008 and in 2009 started combining cosmetology services and the healing energy of Reiki with the intent to bring beauty to the body, mind and spirit. She opened her own boutique style salon-spa and wellness center in 2012, where she currently offers healing sessions, salon and spa services, and workshops to train others in the use of Reiki. In 2013, she also incorporated Theta Healing® to the services that she offers which has furthered her ability to connect to Source, receive insight and be an open channel for the highest good of each client she serves.

Reiki again became instrumental for Jelan in 2016 while she managed the end of life care of her Grandmother. Managing the wide array of family dynamics, caregiving and scheduling tasks, Reiki helped Jelan gain insight and guidance during that difficult time for her and her family. Since the transition of her Grandmother in 2016, Jelan has written a book about Reiki and energy healing Journey of Self to Soul: A Spiritual Transformation Course with Reiki, which is currently in the final stages of writing and publishing. She uses the book as a manual for her Reiki Classes. The book will be available to the public soon as a self-help guide to understanding one’s own paradigm and guidance for a journey of self-discovery.

Now that her children are adults, Jelan is looking forward to growing her practice and expanding in the virtual arena offering class attendance both in person and through live video conferencing, speaking and traveling to share the wonderful gift and opportunity of Reiki with others. Jelan is enjoying the process of self-discovery and learning to redefine herself and career as she explores a new landscape in this phase of life’s journey guided by Spirit each step of the way.
